This week I head back to school. I get a fresh start, new students minds to fill with knowledge about ancient civilizations, reading novels, how to write, spelling and read. To develop their young personalities and opportunities at peer interactions. We will solve problems together and have a fun, safe learning atmosphere. It is not the job I thought I would be doing this year. I really thought I would land an administration position this summer.
I applied for and did not receive over 20 positions. As the rejection letters came in all summer and the self esteem dropped I had hope in knowing I received all the training I could. I did my part and Heavenly Father would do the rest. I learned our wills were not in alignment this summer.
I learned that although prayer works and doing our part works, that sometimes what we really want is not what the Father wants. I have an excellent resume, and was told so by many, what I did not understand was why? Until I received a new calling at church toward the middle of July. If I were to have what I wanted, a principal position, I would not have the time that I needed to do my new calling as a ward missionary. I now understand the will of Heavenly Father and am happy to do his work first.
New calling...check.
Ready for a new school year as a teacher....check.
Get set to start Monday....check.

Changes
So many things change, seasons, time, weather...why not plans too? This little lady had plans of going to dog training school in September. She saved her housing cost all summer long from her graduation earnings.
We went to get a school loan for the tuition and she couldn't get a school loan because the school is not a traditional college. The bank offered her a personal loan, but she doesn't hold a full time job or have credit, plus the interest rate is double that of a school loan.
She decided to go next September and get a full time job to save the money and skip the loan all together. She has had three interviews in the past week and one more Thursday. She would love to work in a vet office and interviewed at one in Wooster. She has a second interview at Target. Keep her in your prayers that it will all work out.

More of South Carolina
Did you get a hot dog on national hot dog day? We did at cosmic dogs in Charleston. They are awesome.
We did a little walking around charleston. The city is gorgeous. We didn't bump into any ghosts in the cemetery.
All carriages and gas lamp posts.
The best part was spending time with our friends. Who I didn't get any real pics of because my camera broke on vacation and I was using my iPad for pics. Needless to say it is not real convienent to care it around to the beach.
Our last night we went back to Melvin's BBQ to get some awesome ribs, chicken and pulled pork.
Mad the best corn bread I've ever tasted.
Wish there was one in Mansfield.
We spent a few more minutes on Sullivan's island before we needed to get some shut eye for the trip back. East river tunnel was closed in Virginia on the way. So we bumped into this beautiful view on the detour.
