A Fair Tradition

I won in two categories this year.  I got a 4th place in the sunrise category....
...and 3rd place in Black and White  youth.  Not too bad.
Kyle and I shared a funnel cake.  He ordered it with extra sugar.  Crazy Nut!
I saw a few firsts this year.  Cookie Monster and Elmo...
 ... a reindeer....
....and a camel.  Of all the animals I've seen at the fair these are new.

It was a cool, crisp fall evening, perfect fair weather.  Boy I love these night.  What a great way to end a busy week.  Enjoying the fresh air.  I saw so many current and former students.  It is always fun to see them growing up.  Tomorrow, Kayla gets the day off for fair day.  Kota has to go to school.  The Career Center never really said why, just that they have to.  Kyle called today and no one would tell him why.  Oh well, welcome to the adult world I guess.  I get to go to all day training tomorrow at the high school.  It will be a nice change of pace.

  1. Congrats on your wins! Your pics were really good. I found my sunset shot. It was behind another picture. One of the fair people said that happened to someone else too. So now it's there. Thanks for picking them up for me. Remember to get the stubs from Jack's office! Enjoy your training and have a good weekend.

  2. Great photos! Glad you have a short week, I know I always enjoy them! We have a training Friday next month, and conference days the following week. It really doesn't seem possible to be having conferences in four weeks!

  3. I wish I had thought to ask you and Kathy what your pictures were before we headed out. We looked through the pictures, but I wasn't able to catch your entries. Congratulations on your wins though! We took the kiddos on the little wagon ride at the back end of the fair and now that I have seen your picture I realize what the heck the painted haystacks were. We only saw Elmo and Cookie Monster from behind. We went through the petting zoo display too, but the reindeer wouldn't eat the kibble, so Tommy did it for them :)
